The project addresses the urgent need to modernise social dialogue in response to the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Algorithmic Management (AM) on the world of work. These technologies are transforming work organisation, management practices, and working conditions, while existing social dialogue structures often remain insufficiently prepared to respond effectively. Trade unions and employer organisations frequently lack the necessary tools, expertise, and institutional support to engage with AI- and AM-driven changes, particularly given the uneven implementation of European frameworks at national level.
The main objective of the AIDIALOGUE project is to strengthen the capacity of social partners to engage in informed and meaningful social dialogue on AI and AM and to actively contribute to policymaking in this field. The project focuses on capacity building, the provision of expert guidance, the development of shared methodologies, and the establishment of coordinated national advisory mechanisms (AINetworks) aligned with EU priorities.
Key activities include the establishment of national AINetworks as advisory platforms, the delivery of international training sessions and national social dialogue meetings, the development and upgrading of an online self-learning platform on AI, AM, and social dialogue, the organisation of an EU-level social dialogue meeting, and the co-creation of joint EU-level policy recommendations. The project will also ensure effective dissemination through an online final conference and digital communication tools.
The project will result in strengthened capacities of social partners to anticipate and manage the impacts of AI and AM, improved access to expert knowledge and training resources, and the development of joint EU-level outputs that contribute to a more effective, inclusive, and sustainable social dialogue in the evolving labour market.
