Competitive Slovakia - strategic priorities of RUZ
In recent years, both Slovakia and the European Union have been gradually losing their competitiveness. Slower economic growth, weaker innovation performance, an increasing regulatory burden, shortages of skilled labour, and the outflow of investment are among the challenges that require open discussion and bold reforms based on facts and economic rationality. A favourable business environment, a transparent legislative process, legal certainty, predictability, and the effective rule of law are essential prerequisites for ensuring prosperity, employment, and social development in any market economy.

Competitive, resilient, and prosperous businesses are the driving force behind a sustainable economy and prosperous society. Slovakia's long-term prosperity can only be secured by strengthening the market economy, supporting entrepreneurship and innovation, reinforcing legal certainty, and building an efficient state. Slovakia must therefore once again create favourable conditions that enable businesses to operate efficiently, increase productivity, create jobs, and at the same time innovate, invest, and prosper.
The Competitive Slovakia document is a strategic policy paper prepared by the Slovak Employers' Federation. It presents concrete proposals aimed at ensuring the country's long-term systemic development and sets out the key priorities of the employer community for strengthening the competitiveness of the Slovak economy, improving the quality of the business environment, and increasing the standard of living of the population.
