FOREIGN AFFAIRS

NUE is cooperating with entrepreneur organizations from all-over the Europe.

Cooperation of 5 Employers´ Associations of CEE countries

NUE, apart from the participation in the meetings of the UNICE representatives, considers the cooperation with the particular UNICE members as its priority. The cooperation of European employers´ federations by the means of certain related “blocks” allied in opinions is much more efficient as the individual activities on the UNICE ground. Within this framework the partnership of 5 employers´ federations – UNICE members – from Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia was recently established. The result of such cooperation was the drawing up of so called Manifesto in which the representatives of these five employers´ federations expressed and consequently communicated their ideas on further development in the European Union to the representatives of national governments, UNICE, European Commission, members of the European Parliament in the way to enable the implementation of the aims stipulated in the Lisbon Strategy. The Manifesto proposed the solutions in the following fields:

  • Strategy of growth and employment,
  • EU Budget for the years 2007-2013,
  • Free movement of workforce,
  • Internal market of services,
  • Infrastructure

The representatives of these federations henceforth communicate mainly during the preparation of principal opinion drafted on the UNICE ground. Opinions on energy policy and the Directive on services were also prepared this way and communicated to the bodies of the European Commission.
Recently some meetings of the representatives of these federations were held in Vienna, Budapest, Brussels and Maribor. The NUE was at these negotiations represented by Mr. ©tefanec and Mr. Molnár. The forthcoming negotiation of the partners will take place at the beginning of July in Bratislava.
